Melanie Monroe

Melanie is a singer songwriter who recently moved to Los Angeles from Nashville. She is a poet and soon to be Rock star!
Melanie is originally from Michigan, where she was trained in classical voice. She then studied Musical Theater in New York City, and later traveled to Nashville to pursue music. With the help of another singer songwriter there, she co-produced “Welcome to The Edge”
at Nashville’s legendary Exit/In. It was several innovative shows featuring many music genres and different talents, giving diverse artists a central stage to perform, uniting new creative energy. It was a great success.
After re-locating to Los Angeles, she sang back-up with Spooky Jones, a local Rock/Funk band from April 2002 to September 2004 before leaving to pursue her solo project.
Her voice can be heard on two songs in the Independent Motion Picture “The Contract”, which is currently on home video. It can be heard again on the title track for the Independent film “Ghost Rock” distributed by Lions Gate Films, also available for home rental.
Melanie has 3 original songs in the upcoming film “It Waits” produced by Stephen J. Cannell.
In January 2005 she released her EP entitled “Sweet Taste”.
Co-Written by herself and her producers Jeff Abercrombie of the Platinum selling Rock band Fuel and Wade Williams.
Melanie is currently seeking management and a label deal.
